Hello Parents!
My name is Lisa Brandman and I am excited to be your child's teacher this year! I am originally from New York State, but I am now happy to call Apex, NC home. I actually moved to NC right out of high school and attended NCSU and Meredith college. Right after graduation, I got married to my wonderful husband Kevin and moved back north to CT where I worked as a math support and enrichment teacher and then taught both 2nd and 3rd grade. I decided to take some time off from teaching after my children (Samantha and Justin) were born, but I soon returned to the classroom as an instructional assistant here at ARE before making the leap back into full time teaching. I am extremely excited for this opportunity to be your child's teacher and am looking forward to working together with you for a very successful year!

My name is Dayna Chiccotella and I am the Instructional Assistant for Mrs. Brandman's class. I grew up just outside of Pittsburgh before I went off to college at West Virginia University and then to the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where I received my Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I married my high school sweetheart, Ken, just prior to graduation and we lived in Nashville, TN for 14 years. We came to North Carolina with our two children, Alyssa and Matthew in 2007. After spending many years as a mom and avid volunteer, I accepted the position here at Alston Ridge in 2015. I am with your children daily from 9:00-1:00 and I look forward to helping them learn and grow this year!
